I just finished the written portion of my Japanese exam and I've got the interview part of the exam later today.  -___-;   I dread the interview part the most, I think.  I always seem to blank on the easiest words and come off feeling super silly.  But the most stressful part is the conversation with the other student in the room, where the teacher just listens.  Because as confident as I am in my speaking skills (which isn't that much, lol), I always screw up at this part... *sigh*  It's frustrating.  Oh well.

The written exam wasn't really that hard, although there were a ton of people still there when I left.  I hate having the feeling of walking out of a test knowing I am getting points off, though.  Ugh.  But then again, I always end up doing well, so maybe I should learn to stop worrying? XD Random Complaints About Work )

I've been on an Akame kick lately, which really isn't anything new, I suppose.  I'm always on an Akame kick.  But I'm back in the mood to read tons of fics and such, so I've been going back and reading a bunch.  And I've been watching QoP a LOT.  I'm still super sad that I can't go to the concerts in Tokyo, but I can't have everything, I suppose.  *sighs again*  I'm dying to hear the new songs, and to hear Jin's Care again.  HOLY SHIT!  I'm so excited about that because it is one of my favorite KAT-TUN songs.  <333  I'm wondering if he's going to add anything to it, because it is a little over 3 minutes long... which is rather short for an album... but maybe not.  I could see him adding a verse, though.  *shrugs*

I should probably get back to studying~

I'm at work again, and I'm bored.  What else is new.  Don't get me wrong, I love the work I'm doing, it is just... there is so much waiting around time involved.  I'm busy for like and hour or two and then I have nothing to do but wait for another couple hours and then the cycle repeats, usually.  Like right now I'm waiting for swarm plates to show growth, for the ydiL strain to grow, for autoclaving stuff... *sigh*

At least that means I get to browse le interwebz.

My laptop has been freaking out on me a lot lately.  It started when my left click button just stopped working one day. My uber smart and awesome boyfriend was able to fix it for me since it apparently wasn't a hardware issue (which is good because otherwise I would have had to
replace my motherboard or something to fix it).  So for the most part my laptop was back working properly again until yesterday or so?  Maybe the day before a little, too.  The touchpad keeps freaking out.  Sometimes it like jumps? I'll use it to scroll to a tab on firefox and I just won't be able to get to the tab because it will skip right over things.  And then today when I type my computer keeps randomly highlighting things or moving my cursor making it REALLY hard to type.  (I've had to hit ctrl+z soooo many times in this post already.)  I don't know why it is doing that because I'm being extra careful to avoid hitting the touchpad, so I know that is not the problem.  JASON?  Can you fix it for me pleeeease?!  :D

I reeeeeeally don't want to have to buy a new computer.  I desperately want one, but I think I want to go to Japan even more. XD  And I certainly can't afford both this year.  *sigh*

The professor supervising me in my work study lab research decided to change his mind a couple days ago about the paper I need to write about my research.  Because the main bulk of my research requires me to test the E. coli with an attractant and then wash them and more or less do it again (none of these have been done yet, since the E. coli is growing slowly for some reason and there were issues with getting the correct medium, etc, etc) we decided to postpone the paper until the end of winter break.  During winter break I am going to be working full time, so all of the results will be ready by the end of break.

Anyways, so he decided to change his mind due to some stupid reason about it being more work to give me an "incomplete" grade now and change it to an A later.  *rolls eyes*  So instead of giving me the usual two weeks or so to work on it, I've only had oh, 3 days or so?  I just am not in the mood to write it at all and it's taking me forever.  *sigh*

It's frustrating because I found out after I was done with all my exams and such.  asldknf.  Meh.  I suppose I should get back to it.  At least I only have to really do the Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods and then a very small bit of the Results section.  After that I'll just be adding a section on "What I will be doing".  So not too much I guess.  I already have most of the intro and M&M section from the lab paper I did last semester on very similar research so *shrugs*   I JUST DON'T WANT TO DO IT.  D:

The rules are that for 8 days you have to post something that made you happy that day.

Day 3:   So, today I found out that I can work of my winter break at the lab AND get paid!!! :D  Normally I can only get credit for the research I'm doing, so it was pretty awesome news!  I'll be getting $8 and hour, lols.  I'm sure I could find something that would pay me more, but really, I need the research experience for grad school/work/whatever the hell I do with my life.  So I think it is worth it.  Plus, I'll get to spend more time with mah Jason~  ^_^

I just saw a preview for the new season of the Bachelor, and while I haven't regularly followed the show over the years, I did watch a fair amount of the last season and absolutely fell in love with (haha, another) Jason.  When he didn't get picked in the last episode I felt really bad for him, but I definitely want to watch this next show.

Barbara Walter's 10 Most Fascinating People segment about Barack Obama was <3.  Oh, and Will Smith is (and always has been) so damn awesome.

Hmm, what else...  *shrugs*  I can't think of anything tonight.  I think I'm going to go watch a movie with Jason and then go to bed.  It's been a long day~

Today was rather long.  I woke up around 7 am to go to my chem discussion.  Honestly, I don't even remember that it feels like so long ago.  D:  Then I had a short break in which I did my Japanese homework.  Then another class.

During my lunch break I met with Shima-sensei and talked to her for like an hour.  It was reeeeally nice to just have a Japanese conversation again.  I think she intended to do some studying/practice with me about our currently lesson, but when she realized I could understand everything quick enough to hold a decent conversation, we just went off on various topics, mostly about Japan, though.  It was awesome cuz we got to talk about KAT-TUN because she remembered Hasegawa-sensei mentioned that I wanted to go to one last semester when I was in his class.  Hahaha.  So we talked about them for a little bit and some jdramas and such.  It was pretty awesome.  So I'm going to go in every week or so to practice with her.  I really miss having a conversation like that, even if I can't always answer 100% properly or whatever.  I loved it.

Then I had more classes and met with my lab professor.  I'll be getting some of the results from the summer lab research tomorrow.  I'm guessing I'll start on the research next week?  It will be a little different now, but that's because something with the strain of E. coli changed so we have to alter our approach.  I'd explain more if it wasn't already so late. >__>

Jason and I made some delicious chicken and ravioli with marinara sauce today.  'Twas awesome.  :D  *huggles!!*

Hm, other than that I've been super busy... I rediscovered the Llama Song and the Ultimate Showdown flash animations today so that pretty much made my night FANTABULOUS.

AND GREY'S STARTS TOMORROW!!!!!!! *SQUEALS*
