Thank you to the wonderful people in the KAT-TUN fandom for making my day a million times better.  This is such pure win! :D :D   It makes me happy to see that the fandom has evolved into one that can laugh at rumors and such.  All the epic rumors the KAT-TUN fandom has had... oh man.  XD

Anyways, I love you all~   <3 <3

(No disrespect meant to any NEWS/Tegoshi fans, of course~ <3)

I just finished the written portion of my Japanese exam and I've got the interview part of the exam later today.  -___-;   I dread the interview part the most, I think.  I always seem to blank on the easiest words and come off feeling super silly.  But the most stressful part is the conversation with the other student in the room, where the teacher just listens.  Because as confident as I am in my speaking skills (which isn't that much, lol), I always screw up at this part... *sigh*  It's frustrating.  Oh well.

The written exam wasn't really that hard, although there were a ton of people still there when I left.  I hate having the feeling of walking out of a test knowing I am getting points off, though.  Ugh.  But then again, I always end up doing well, so maybe I should learn to stop worrying? XD Random Complaints About Work )

I've been on an Akame kick lately, which really isn't anything new, I suppose.  I'm always on an Akame kick.  But I'm back in the mood to read tons of fics and such, so I've been going back and reading a bunch.  And I've been watching QoP a LOT.  I'm still super sad that I can't go to the concerts in Tokyo, but I can't have everything, I suppose.  *sighs again*  I'm dying to hear the new songs, and to hear Jin's Care again.  HOLY SHIT!  I'm so excited about that because it is one of my favorite KAT-TUN songs.  <333  I'm wondering if he's going to add anything to it, because it is a little over 3 minutes long... which is rather short for an album... but maybe not.  I could see him adding a verse, though.  *shrugs*

I should probably get back to studying~

They fought hard and even made it to Round 2 of the NCAA tournament, so I'm proud of them.  ^__^  Maybe next year...

Spring Break is almost over.  I worked a fair amount over break, so I made some money, which is always good.  I enjoyed my break, but now I'm dreading going back to classes.  I have no desire to study for my microbiology exam, which is on Thursday.  *sigh*  I love the class, but this professor just makes it far too complicated.  It is an intro microbio class (300-level), but we have to know more biochemistry than my 500-level biochemistry class.  @___@  So basically this section for the exam is going to be super hard and I'm nervous about it.  Oh wells.

The weather has been sooo nice lately~  I want to be outside!

Sour Patch Kids are so yummy!! :D

And lastly, a little meme that I said I'd do AGES ago.

So I'm one of the people running the Japanese Club at my school, and we're having our first official movie night next week.  I'm looking for a movie that's A. subtitled B. available in decent enough quality and most importantly C. will be liked by lots of different people (ie, boys, girls, japanese students, non japanese students, etc etc)

You all gave me great ideas for the drama nights we had last semester, so I'm looking forward to all your ideas! :D

The only one I have that came to mind was Cyborg She... any thoughts on that?

Oh, I'm hoping to find a movie that isn't super depressing and preferably ends on a happy note?

Wheee, so I'm back to the internetz today!  I spent 11 or so hours at the library yesterday doing a report for my microbiology lab which turned out to be 14 pages.  @____@   Even I'm shocked.  I was expecting like 6 or 7?  Besides, this report was worth 100 points (as much as an exam) and I wrote ~1 1/2 pages for the 10 point assignments.  I'm just impressed I got 14 pages done in one day AND didn't complain about it.  XD  I mean, writing a report sucks, but I totally loved looking up all the info on the bacteria and figuring out what species it was and that sort of thing.  :D  Makes me feel a little better about my choice of majors.

I really want to take Japanese semesters 3 and 4 over the summer at my school in their intensive course, but for reasons I won't say, I probably won't be able to since I won't be able to afford it.  -___-  I guess that's okay, but I would love love love to be starting 5th semester in the fall... *sigh*

Hmm, spring break is coming up soon and I'll probably be working a good portion of that since I'll get paid, yay.  :D

I have a lot of free time today so I think I will be watching dramas and movies and reading my Japanese Harry Potter book.  XD   And I really want/need a new layout that's not so dark and wintery so I might work on that.  And I've had a horrible craving to make some icons.  *nods*

Maybe I'll do a meme or something later.  But right now, I'm going to go watch... something.  I dunno yet.  XD XD

Anyone out there watch The Bachelor?  I watched this season (I watched not even half of the last season and uhh only one other season waaay long ago?) and I just wanted to know if anyone had any comments on the ending~

I'm way behind on reading peoples journals and making comments, gomen!  I didn't even check lj yesterday other than to approve some posts over at klove.  @___@

And I'm in love with Music Station.  Maybe I'll watch that now.  :D

You're packing your bag for that magical desert island that happens to have electricity, a TV, and a DVD player—what five DVDs do you take with you?

View other answers

This is hard. >__<

Out of the DVD's I own (because this would be far too hard to do if I could just burn any of the million things I have) I'd take:

1. KAT-TUN's QoP DVD, because I could flail to that every single day.
2. Pirates of the Carribean... probably At World's End. Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are hot pirates. @__@

I seem to have a pirate theme going on here. XD Too bad I don't own Kaizokuban or I'd put that next, rofl.

3. Beauty and the Beast because it is my absolute favorite Disney movie, yay.
4. Oh what the hell, KAT-TUN's CTKT II YOU DVD.
5. KAT-TUN's Real Face Tour DVD.  Yay for flailing.  >_______<

Really though, I could probably watch the concert DVD's straight through on repeat and have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. XD

How someone can do something like this is just... horrible.  Absolutely horrible.  But this really hits home because, not only did I attend that high school, but I have known that guy since he was in grade school.  He used to be a friend of my brother's when he was younger.  I haven't talked to my family yet, but I'm sure they'll have something to say about it since my brother and sister still go to school there.

It is so disturbing, not just the story (which itself is beyond sick), but the fact that so many people were affected before this came out.  And the fact that he was a good student and active in the community and such should really teach people a lesson.  Be smart about what you do online so things like this never have to happen.  :\

Really, I don't know what else to say.  It's just wrong on so many levels.

When I walked to work today, it was quite possibly the coldest 20 minutes of my life.  No joke.  And I live in Wisconsin, which has it's fair share of freezing cold days.  But today was just unreal.  And I was wearing a sweater, sweatshirt, and my winter jacket, along with my hat gloves and scarf.  But @____@   Anyways, when I got to work today the TV thing in the lobby read "Sunny, -12F"  NEGATIVE 12 Degrees F?!?! *dies*  Actually, with the windchill factored in, it was -31F.  That's ridiculously cold.  I'm still warming up, lol.

(*pats poor Ange over in Iowa with the -50ish* @___@)

Dear F-List,

Would any of you be wanting to buy Arashi's One Love single from me?  It's the Japan version and was opened but only played once so it is in fabulous condition.

I just want to know if anyone here is interested or knows someone who'd want it before I post it places.  :)

I'm at work now, so I can't double check what I paid for it, but I'd be looking to sell it for about the same price.

Let me know. ^_^

I'm at work again, and I'm bored.  What else is new.  Don't get me wrong, I love the work I'm doing, it is just... there is so much waiting around time involved.  I'm busy for like and hour or two and then I have nothing to do but wait for another couple hours and then the cycle repeats, usually.  Like right now I'm waiting for swarm plates to show growth, for the ydiL strain to grow, for autoclaving stuff... *sigh*

At least that means I get to browse le interwebz.

My laptop has been freaking out on me a lot lately.  It started when my left click button just stopped working one day. My uber smart and awesome boyfriend was able to fix it for me since it apparently wasn't a hardware issue (which is good because otherwise I would have had to
replace my motherboard or something to fix it).  So for the most part my laptop was back working properly again until yesterday or so?  Maybe the day before a little, too.  The touchpad keeps freaking out.  Sometimes it like jumps? I'll use it to scroll to a tab on firefox and I just won't be able to get to the tab because it will skip right over things.  And then today when I type my computer keeps randomly highlighting things or moving my cursor making it REALLY hard to type.  (I've had to hit ctrl+z soooo many times in this post already.)  I don't know why it is doing that because I'm being extra careful to avoid hitting the touchpad, so I know that is not the problem.  JASON?  Can you fix it for me pleeeease?!  :D

I reeeeeeally don't want to have to buy a new computer.  I desperately want one, but I think I want to go to Japan even more. XD  And I certainly can't afford both this year.  *sigh*

21 December 2008 @ 06:19 pm
The professor supervising me in my work study lab research decided to change his mind a couple days ago about the paper I need to write about my research.  Because the main bulk of my research requires me to test the E. coli with an attractant and then wash them and more or less do it again (none of these have been done yet, since the E. coli is growing slowly for some reason and there were issues with getting the correct medium, etc, etc) we decided to postpone the paper until the end of winter break.  During winter break I am going to be working full time, so all of the results will be ready by the end of break.

Anyways, so he decided to change his mind due to some stupid reason about it being more work to give me an "incomplete" grade now and change it to an A later.  *rolls eyes*  So instead of giving me the usual two weeks or so to work on it, I've only had oh, 3 days or so?  I just am not in the mood to write it at all and it's taking me forever.  *sigh*

It's frustrating because I found out after I was done with all my exams and such.  asldknf.  Meh.  I suppose I should get back to it.  At least I only have to really do the Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods and then a very small bit of the Results section.  After that I'll just be adding a section on "What I will be doing".  So not too much I guess.  I already have most of the intro and M&M section from the lab paper I did last semester on very similar research so *shrugs*   I JUST DON'T WANT TO DO IT.  D:

XD
